Living from Mount Zion - in God's Eternal Plan
God calls
us to live from Mount Zion. He has brought us into Mount Zion. He
has revealed to us that our names are written in heaven. We are to
live on this earth with that heavenly perspective in view, knowing
that we are citizens of heaven NOW. Jesus lived that way, when He
walked on the earth. He lived in God's presence, doing what He saw
His Father doing, saying what He heard His Father speaking, going
where His Father told him to go.
Jesus had an eternal perspective. He knew He would rule the earth.
He knew He would rule on the earth from His heavenly place. He said
My kingdom is not of this world. He told the people that they would
see Him come in the glory of His Father's kingdom. He told His
disciples that they would reign over the twelve tribes of Israel in
the days of His kingdom.
Before He went to the cross Jesus saw Himself reigning as our
eternal and heavenly High Priest. He saw Himself filling people on
earth with His heavenly glory, so we could become totally one with
Him in this life. The Bible says He endured the cross because of
the joy that was set before Him. He knew that Isaiah saw Him in His
glory before He became man, and that the angels before Him at that
time were crying "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole
earth is full of His glory!" (Is 6:3 NKJ)
Jesus knew He was the instrument through whom God would fill the
heavens and the earth with His own glory. He knew Satan's kingdom
would be overcome. He knew that Satan would be cast down out of the
heavenly principalities over the earth. He knew that He would train
up a people called out of the ways of the earth to bring about the
reign and ways of heaven onto the earth. He knew that He would have
to suffer. He knew that we too would have to suffer. He knew that
he would be able to endure suffering and continue in the will of God
during suffering by keeping focused on God's eternal plan for Him
and for the world. He knew that He would be able to bring His people
through a time of suffering so that they too could rule over the
heavens and the earth with Him.
Now Jesus calls us to live with a heavenly and eternal perspective.
He has prepared the way for us to come to the heavenly Mount Zion
where we are reminded that we are citizens of this heavenly place.
He sends us into the earth as His people, giving us divine wisdom
and revelation to participate with Him in these days. He calls us
to remember that He is preparing us to reign with Him as His kingdom
is manifested during the tribulation that is coming on the earth.
He calls us to remember that our eternal destiny is to reign with
Him as the evil spiritual powers that are now over the earth are
going to be cast down, then cast out. He calls us to know that He
will bring about the complete restoration of all things so that the
heavens and the earth will be filled with spiritual powers who will
rule in His kingdom, with earthly leaders who will seek His will and
with people who will be living in His ways. Everything else will be
removed from the heavens and the earth.
We are to let Him mature us and so we can know, believe and see that
the heavens and earth will be filled with the eternal glory of God
through Jesus, through His spiritual powers in the heavens and
through His people on the earth. Let us take time to meditate,
receive, envision and thank God for imparting these things to us as
we recognize our place in His heavenly Mount Zion.
